Happy new years! As we embark on a new year, it is a great time to reflect but also to gear up to make a difference in 2019. If you are looking to make a difference in your business in 2019. Take a look at these top recommendations to start your goals and planning on the right track.

Goal 1: Automate

For every task you do, you should think, how can I automate this? Yes – it will require up front WORK but the time saved will result in more time you can devote to earning $. A few of my favorites are automating things like receipt and invoice collection / processing – software’s like Auto-Entry and Receipt Bank are well worth the monthly subscription cost. Take a picture of receipts and have those processed right through to your accounting software automatically – genius. Some entrepreneurs focus on the cost of the subscription. That is a very narrow view. Make sure you take it from a cost/benefit perspective. What is your time worth and what can you do with that time?

Goal 2: Have a Growth Mindset

Think of where you want to take your business. Are you doing the things today that will get you there? If you don’t know what those things are, stop now and figure it out. You can even consider hiring a coach to help you identify them and set the road in the direction you want to go. Set goals and make sure someone is holding you accountable. If you don’t know where you are going, you will never get there.

Goal 3: Mind and Body

If you burn out so will your business and your friends and family won’t thank you either. Ensure you devote the time and resources to your mind and body. This means mental, social, physical and spiritual. You will be greater in your business by being greater in your own mind and body. Eat right, exercise and take time to be present with your friends and family.

We are not always great at any of the above. But the change of the new year is a fresh start to re-direct. Take time to reflect but ensure the re-focus is on what you can do; what you are going to do. Then do it, and be excited about it. Let’s make 2019 a big one.
