Q: How does pricing work?

Our pricing is based on the scope and complexity of your business, so that it reflects the level of work involved. In general: Bookkeeping is priced based on transaction volume and how frequently we maintain your records (monthly, bi-weekly, etc.) Year-end accounting and tax are scoped based on the size of your business, typically using total revenue and expenses as a guide Payroll depends on the number of employees and how often payroll is processed We also adjust pricing based on the level of service and support required. All work is quoted in advance using fixed fees, so expectations are clear and there are no surprises. If additional requirements come up that were not part of the original scope (for example, foreign reporting such as T1135 filings), we will discuss this with you and provide an updated quote before proceeding.

Our services fall into two main areas : Year-End Accounting & Tax Financial statements Corporate tax returns Year-end review and planning Ongoing Bookkeeping (Optional) Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations GST/HST and payroll filings Ongoing record maintenance We also include structured tax planning as part of our year-end process, with additional support available as needed.

How we work together depends on the level of service: If you handle your own bookkeeping: You maintain your records throughout the year We complete your year-end financial statements and tax filings Tax planning is done at year-end based on finalized numbers If we handle your bookkeeping: We maintain your books throughout the year We complete filings and keep records up to date We handle year-end and provide more ongoing visibility This allows you to choose the level of support that fits your needs.

Q: Do you provide tax planning?

Yes — tax planning is built into our year-end process. For all clients: Planning is completed at year-end based on your financial results For clients with ongoing bookkeeping: We also provide a follow-up check-in during the year to ensure the plan is working Ongoing tax planning requires up-to-date financial information, which is why mid-year check-ins are only available when bookkeeping is current. Additional planning or advisory support is available if more frequent guidance is needed.
